Caroline Kauffman - Bio

Who we are

The overall vision for Wands and Wishes was developed by Caroline Kauffman in 2010. The idea that led to the business started one Halloween, and included a Snow White costume and an idea for better children’s birthday parties. The business was officially launched when a neighbor was in need of a spectacular Princess birthday party for her four-year-old daughter. As the only event planners in Denver dedicated to planning truly stylish children’s parties, the company has quickly grown, and parents have taken notice.

Wands and Wishes Occasions is owned and operated by Caroline Kauffman. Caroline holds a Bachelor’s in Public Relations from Colorado State University and has planned numerous events for a host of different clients. As a former Colorado State University cheerleader and mother of two, she has a grasp on what is in for children’s birthday’s and is able to keep the events at Wands and Wishes consistently unique, fresh and stylish. Each event planned always gets the “WOW” factor from guests.

Because of her creative style for event planning, she has been interviewed by the Stapleton Moms Blog under the regular post “that Stapleton mom”. She has been featured in The Denver Post and the Front Porch Newspaper. She has also been working with numerous charitable entities such as The Children’s Hospital of Denver, University of Colorado Hospital, and The Children’s Museum.

This lead to a love of pirate history, and since he began performing the character, Michael has collaborated with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on their "Real Pirates" exhibit, as well as helping to found "BrethrenCon," Colorado's first ever pirate-themed convention. Beyond the realm of buccaneers, Michael has an enthusiasm for the Middle Ages and fantasy, and is fond of creating original costumes and characters based on history, popular literature, and film. He has studied acting and singing, but prefers "guerrilla theater" wherein he can fully immerse his audience, and allow them to play along. Some of his other interests include traditional archery, fencing, drawing, and writing.
